Q. I am already committed to an estate agent can I also use Mazin Property Promotions?

We are publishers not an estate agent. This is a private sale and it does not necessarily affect your agency agreement.

However, there are 4 types of contracts:

  • 'Sole agency' also means the estate agent is the only one with the right to sell or let your house but if you find a buyer or tenant yourself, you won't have to pay commission to the agent.
  • 'Multi agency' means that you can choose several estate agents to market your house, only paying commission to the one who sells or lets it.
  • 'Sole selling / letting' means your estate agent is the only one with the right to sell or let your house. Even if you find a buyer or tenant yourself, you'll still have to pay commission to the agent.
  • 'Ready, willing and able purchaser'. If the estate agent finds you a buyer and you later withdraw from the sale, you'll still have to pay them.

Clarify, in writing, with your estate agent the details of your contract.

Q. Is it easy to use Mazin Property Promotions?

  • It couldn't be simpler. You do it in the comfort of your own home at any time of day. Simply take notes of your property, both internally and externally, include room dimensions if you wish. Note especially any strong selling points. Tidy up and take several photographs which will allow you to select the best 16. Then follow our simple on screen step by step guide.

Q. Is it worth taking photographs?

  • Definitely. As with any purchase first impressions count. Give the buyer a clear indication of what they are getting for their money; a picture tells a thousand words. Do make sure the photographs are not misleading.

Q. What do I do when I have found a buyer?

  • As with any house sale, both parties need to instruct a conveyancing solicitor to deal with the legal process.
